What’s in a name? Very little to be fair. The original founders simply named the Restaurant after the height in feet above sea level of the village of Wickersley, which is 450ft.

Established in 2011, Restaurant 450 continued to develop and grow its reputation under the supervision of a succession of very good Head Chefs and Front of House leads. It is now in the hands of a small but very experienced team and a new (but shy) Head Chef who started on 19th June and who has an impeccable background. The team wants to preserve the reputation of 450 and at the same time allow the creativity of the Chef to blossom, with the emphasis on quality of produce, and delightful tastes. With that in mind we will be hosting special tasting menu evenings on the last Friday of every month.

Whilst we encourage pre-booking your table at the weekend and during busy periods, we do try our very best to accommodate everyone, so please don’t hesitate to call anytime.
